Social Networking 101 For Facebook And Twitter

CUTTING EDGE BUSINESS WITH CUTTING EDGE PRODUCTS

Connecting with others online through Twitter, Facebook and other social networking sites can be lucrative. However, there is a proper way to make contact with other networkers without alienating them from your information or opportunity. Don't get in their face with your stuff right away, and you'll make long term friends!

The thing about social networking is, don't go into sites and do it just for business. Business will be a byproduct if you do it the right way. First, be careful about who you ask to be friends with. Don't just go into a site and try to become friends with everyone by clicking away for hours.

First, not everyone involved with Twitter, Facebook and MySpace are in network marketing. Many are truly there just to socialize with others. Do a search within the site to find others with the same interests as you, such as health and wellness, networking, affiliate marketing, and so on.

Second, don't make your pitch in your first email. That's just rude, and it turns people off immediately. Instead, just say hello and eventually lead them to your blog. Make sure your blog is filled with links to your business site. That way, your new social networking friend can make their way to your website, and buy your product or service at their own pace.

If it all sounds like a lot of time wasted on the computer, think again. When you connect with people all over the world, referrals come in over time. People are earning big incomes faster because of social networking from Internet referrals, and over the last couple of years, million dollar incomes are a reality. But building relationships is a key to attracting referrals and, ultimately, clients. The social networking sites are simply the way that's being done today...if you do it properly!
